Counselling Services

Individual Counselling

At Counsellors Together we offer one to one Counselling to all Individuals of the community.

Counselling for Couples

We offer Counselling for couples who are finding it hard to communicate with each other.  Couples Counselling used to be known as marriage guidance and can help you to resolve difficulties in your relationship or to make separation easier for you both.

Counselling for Families

It can sometimes be hard for families to get along.  Counselling for families can help family members to see things from another's point of view and to find common ground and solutions.  You may find yourself affected by another family members actions and unhealthy behaviours.  Couple Counselling can help you through this difficult times.

Counselling Sessions

We provide sessions 1 to 1 in our private therapy rooms in St Austell.

**Depending on Eligibility, you may be entitled to receive part, or up to 8 sessions funded**

Funded Sessions - first 8 sessions are funded, for additional sessions,  a donation is required

In the first instance we will complete an initial assessment with you to build a picture on what it is you wish to get from your therapy sessions (this will take approx 1 hour and is FREE of charge) - to book an initial assessment, please telephone us on one of our contact numbers, or send an enquiry via our website contact page - we will respond to your request within 48 hours and will book an appointment usually within 2 weeks.

If you then decide to book therapy sessions, then we will aim to place you with a Counsellor within 2-4 weeks, this is usually sooner.

Each session lasts for 50 minutes and most people choose to see their Counsellor weekly, however for some, meeting fortnightly is enough; frequency of sessions can be negotiated with your Counsellor.  We recognise that everyone has different needs, therefore it is difficult to say how many sessions you will require, although we provide sessions in blocks of 8 at a time, with a view to continue Counselling sessions for as long as necessary.  We provide longer term Integrative Counselling to suit all.

Fees and payment options

We have a sliding scale of fees which are based on household income.

Minimum fee for those on low income/benefits = £7 per session, unless you are eligible under our funded sessions above - please get in touch to see if you are eligible.  Prices are a guide - please enquire for up to date prices and eligibility.

Fee's dependant on income:

Individual Counselling - one to one - Minimum fee is between £7 & £30 per session.

Couple Counselling - Minimum fee is between £25 & £35 per session.

Children under 18 years of age - Minimum fee is between £15 & £30 per session.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  All Payments are to be made by cash/bank transfer, or on-line using our booking system & a non-refundable £5 deposit is required when making the booking, which will be deducted from the price of your session.  The same deposit fee applies to subsequent bookings.  If using our on-line booking system, then an extra 4 % will be charged to process the transaction.

Appointments are booked and confirmed when payment/deposit is made, to secure that date and time with your Counsellor.

Counsellors Together want to make the service we provide available to everyone - therefore our prices are subsided and affordable.  Counsellors Together is a Community Interest Company (this means we are a non-profit making organisation).  However the service has to cover it's costs and so you will be asked to make a contribution, which we base on your net household income, as above.

Our room is availble for hire - please get in touch for prices and availability

**We accept debit/credit cards**
